Storage/Transport System

Using standard-of-the-industry Flexitanks as the primary product storage and transport system, DOHAWAII™ is taking advantage of this system’s years of successful experience transporting other foodstuffs like wine, oil, and syrup. 

Made from FDA approved food-grade polyurethane, these multilayer-bladders are sized to hold 5,200 gallons (20,000 liters) of water to meet international trucking cargo weight and dimension standards and restrictions. 

Fit directly into ISO 20 foot cargo containers, the bladders are filled with product water at sea and then sealed and labeled, ready for immediate transport.

 

When all containers on the production barge are filled, the vessel is towed to Honolulu Harbor for immediate trans-loading and shipment to international clients.

To address any concerns about potential introduction of bacteria into this pure Deep Ocean Water during shipment, DOHAWAII™ chlorinates the product to provide protection for up to four weeks within the sealed bladders.
